What is Yodica?

It is a pharmaceutical component that contains iodine. It helps the proper functioning of iodine-collecting organs such as the thyroid, prostate, breast, pancreas, and ovaries, as well as the immune and nervous systems

Is Yodica medicine?

Yodica is not a medicine; Yodica is a pharmaceutical combination of potassium iodide and molecular iodine. Although it is a natural compound, some people may be intolerant, or excessive consumption can cause side effects, so first-time consumption must be monitored. Ask us!

What side effects can it cause?

The recommended dose of Yodica does not generate any side effects in the general population. However, its excess or sensitivity can cause stomach irritation, rash, and even hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. It has been described that 1% of the world's population may be intolerant of iodine. For this reason, Yodica intake should be supervised by our medical team

How is Yodica prepared?

Yodica is available as an oral solution for administration by drops. A 25 mL glass dropper provides a supply lasting 6 to 8 months, depending on the recommended dose.

What presentations do you have?

Yodica comes in two presentations, one for human use and one for veterinary use.

What can it be used for?

Yodica is recommended to attenuate symptoms of benign pathologies such as prostatic hyperplasia, breast fibrosis, polycystic ovaries, premenstrual syndrome, metabolic syndrome, or as an adjuvant in conventional chemotherapy treatments for various types of cancer.

What effects does Yodica have?

Molecular iodine-containing Yodica is an excellent antioxidant that reduces oxidative stress throughout the body by attenuating inflammatory processes (benign pathologies) and secondary effects of chemotherapy. Yodica consumption in small and continuous doses does not generate any side or adverse effects. It is not antagonistic with practically any medication, but it is necessary to consult us before ingesting Yodica for the first time.

Why is Yodica different from iodized salt?

Iodized salt contains enough sodium iodide to support optimal thyroid function; however, some commercial salts do not include this supplement. In addition to the appropriate iodide supplement, Yodica provides the necessary amount of molecular iodine to support optimal function of other organs, including the mammary glands, prostate, pancreas, and the digestive, reproductive, and nervous systems.

Can I get a sufficient amount of iodine with a multivitamin?

The composition of Yodica differs from that of other iodine supplements, including multivitamins. Yodica contains potassium iodide and molecular iodine. Most multivitamin formulations contain only iodide. Molecular iodine can be obtained only naturally from fresh seaweed, and in the pharmaceutical industry, there are no supplements that contain it.

Who can take Yodica?

Middle-aged and older adults who need to increase their iodine intake.

People with benign pathologies such as prostatic hyperplasia, breast fibrosis, polycystic ovaries, premenstrual syndrome, metabolic syndrome, etc.

People who will receive chemotherapy as treatment for malignant pathologies (breast cancer, prostate cancer, etc.)

In addition, it is important NOT to consume it if you:

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to iodine.

  • You have a history of thyroid disease.

Can it be used as a preventive or only as a supplement in pathologies?

Yodica is useful in both situations. A low dose can be used for prevention or maintenance, and a moderate dose is recommended as an adjuvant for established benign pathologies or cancer.

The appropriate dose for each case should be determined in consultation with our physician group.

How often should it be taken?

Yodica is taken once a day in drops, diluted in a liquid (milk, water, juice, etc.), at room temperature, after eating any food, such as breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

What happens if I forget to take the drops for a day or two?

Resume your usual consumption. Skipping a few days will not cause harm, but your symptoms may return if you discontinue use. NEVER TAKE MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT.

Epidemiological studies show that Asian populations that consume various chemical forms of iodine through the intake of fresh seaweed have fewer benign pathologies and cancers. Consuming small, continuous doses of Yodica is a natural contribution equivalent to the use of this element in the Asian diet.

How can I know if I can consume Yodica, and what dose is right for me?

As mentioned earlier, iodine is a natural compound, but some people are intolerant of it. Also, excess iodine can have harmful effects. For that reason, it is mandatory that your first intake be discussed with our physician team to ensure its safe and effective use.

Is there a maximum dose per day?

It is recommended not to exceed 3 mg/day. Symptoms of excessive intake include stomach irritation, rash, and subclinical hypothyroidism, which resolve upon discontinuation.

How can I know if it is working? How much time should pass before feeling improvement?

Each person's body is different. Most benign pathologies are attenuated within the first 60 days. When used as an adjuvant in chemotherapy, it is recommended to start taking Yodica at least one week before treatment and continue for at least six months.

How is the dose determined?

It is mandatory to consult us before adjusting your dose.

How have the beneficial effects of Yodica been tested?

Yodica is the result of 25 years of research in our group. We have numerous preclinical and clinical studies, as well as two patents granted by the Mexican Institute of Intellectual Protection. These documents are available in the publications section.

If I suffer from a thyroid dysfunction, can I consume Yodica?

If you are currently under the care of a doctor for thyroid disease, you should consult with them before starting to use Yodica.

Is there any interaction of Yodica with medications?

Yodica is a natural supplement and does not interact with most medications; however, the first time you take Yodica, consult our physician team.

Is there any side effect from the use of Yodica?

At the recommended doses, there are no side effects in the general population; however, discontinue use and contact us if you experience fatigue, palpitations, anxiety, irritability, or increased sweating, as these may be early signs of thyroid dysfunction. Excessive iodine intake can cause thyroid disorders such as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.

Is the veterinary use of Yodica different from humans?

Our pets are usually mammals like us (dogs, cats, mice, rabbits, hamsters, etc.), and their iodine requirements are similar. Although current foods are excellent and contain most of the trace elements, including iodides, none contain molecular iodine. We offer Yodica as a food supplement that provides sufficient iodide and molecular iodine for proper organ function. It is also an excellent adjuvant in the treatment of benign pathologies or cancer.
